Dump Hoppers
FAM Canada Inc., Edmonton, AB designed the three Dump Hoppers for Suncor Energy's Millennium Project.
The hopper walls are lined with Domite® in the areas subjected to the most severe wear / impact.

These
large double dump hoppers use Domite® Laminated Wear Plate in
the most severe wear areas. They are built to handle the
extremely abrasive Athabasca Oilsands and are subject to impact,
sometimes at temperatures as low as - 40 0 .
With a targeted life of 2 years, after 26 months measured wear is < 1/3 of the thickness of the abrasion resistant wearing side of the Domite® Laminated Wear Plate.
