Domite® and Domite® Laminated Wear Parts are only manufactured by Domite Wear Technology Inc. and is a registered trademark and cannot be used without expressed authorization.

 

Domite® was originally developed in the early 1960’s and patented by Canron in 1967.  In 1989 Canron closed this division and the Domite® trade name & trademark along with all production equipment and procedures were sold to Molten Metallurgy Inc. who formed a new company, Domite Wear Technology Inc., who continues to manufacture the product today.

 

For over 40 years Domite® has proven its durability and value to the mining and other heavy industries with millions of pounds of Domite® Wear Products in service throughout the world.  Produced in our facility located in scenic Paris Ontario Canada, Domite Wear Technology Inc. carefully controls all phases of production to provide the world with the leading impact and abrasion resistant material.

Domite® Laminated Wear Parts are a distinctive material in that they combine a hardened face of proprietary cast white iron with very high wear resistant qualities (700 BHN – 63 Rc) with the workability of mild steel to create an exceptional product that is resistant to impact and abrasion while retaining ductile characteristics.

The key to achieving outstanding combined abrasion and impact resistance along with easy installation is the strong metallurgical bond shown here and expanded with a scanning electron micrograph detailing the joined surfaces of the Domite® white iron and the mild steel backing plate.
